Check your Instructor is legal

When choosing a driving instructor it is important to ensure they are qualified and approved by DVA in Northern Ireland or the DSA in GB to give instruction in return for money or monies worth.

You can check if an instructor is legally entitled to charge by asking to see their license which will include their photo and the date the license expires; giving instruction without a valid license is illegal.

Illegal instructors will NOT be insured in the event of an accident.

A qualified NI driving instructor will have a badge as below:
